SVARA/SVENI
Svara is a wealthy widow from the Svart jord (black earth) area of Birka, Sweden. Her husband died on a Viking raid in the south, and now her twin brother Sveni helps her run the farm. Svara specializes in dyeing and textile crafts in addition to the basic skills necessary to run a viking household. Sveni is a troublemaker devoted to Loki, God of Mischief. A skilled archer and fletcher, but too lazy to fight with a sword, Sveni would rather hunt and gallivant through the woods all day. Helping on the farm has kept him busy, but it is only a matter of time before he stirs up trouble with the neighbors! |
