the
left is Agnar's blue linen undertunic. He is rich and can afford to
wear an undertunic dyed blue, instead of plain unbleached linen. To the right is Agnar's green wool tunic, trimmed with tabletwoven bands. Vikings used simple rectangles and gore construction to make their clothes. |
To the
left are Agnar's wool pants. Vikings used a simple drawstring to keep up their pants and usually cut them narrow to the figure. To the right are wickelbander, woolen bands of fabric which were wrapped around the calf and secured with triangular metal hooks around the knees. They were popular in Continental Europe and were taken up by affluent Vikings as a sign of status. |

To

left are the leather belt and belt pouch Agnar made for himself based
on extant Viking Age finds. The belt is narrow as was worn by the
Vikings and decorated with stamped brass fittings. To the right is Agnar's firestriker, made by Lodin, a piece of flint, wire woven bracelets he made, a wire penanular brooche, a bronze stamped thor's hammer, a bone needle made by Lodin. |
