EGILL
Egill is a Rus (Eastern Viking)
merchant and a boat builder. He built Dreki, a faering which can carry
four oarsmen, and is 19 feet long with a steering board and a square
sail. While not big enough to sail the high seas, Dreki is perfect for
easy portage along Russian and Ukrainian rivers, which Egill has to
brave in order to trade his goods in Byzantium.
Egill loves music and has made many Viking Age instruments, such as
bone flutes, a pan flute, drums as well as reconstructions of Sutton Hoo Lyre and Trossingen Lyre.
